Hotel Luca

I stayed in this wonderful hotel in the second week of July with my daughter. Exceptional staff, helpful owners with a constant smile, make you feel "at home". Do we want to talk about food? WONDERFUL a very good chef. We will be back ? YES, YES AND YES AGAIN. Thanks to Elena and Andrea for making us spend a wonderful week. Catherine and Emma

I'm sorry to say it but the only positive thing was the courtesy and kindness of the owners and staff, and the food was good, but, as in other hotels I've visited, the management of intolerances/allergies still needs to be sorted out , because I am intolerant/allergic to lactose and pork (reported much in advance by the reservation) but, like everyone else, I was told that there were lactose-free foods, but no, apart from the lactose-free milk, at the bar, breakfast for me it was always just cappuccino and cereals, I couldn't eat anything else other than that or juice, cakes and croissants were unapproachable for me, at least at meals there was always a fish alternative but, dessert, if there was no fruit, I couldn't eat anything because there was only one choice on the menu, one evening they made the Romagna menu, (which as an ignorant Milanese, I thought was based on fish) I asked what it was, at the dinner, and I was told, pig, I reiterated that I couldn't eat it but, I was told, "you had to say it before", but I said it before booking, moral of the story, there was nothing for me , only the dessert which fortunately was fruit, my dinner was paid for anyway and I dined out when I took the children to the rides. The packed lunch is not comparable to the cost of lunch in the hotel (which is given as an alternative if you are out on a trip) 1/2 liter of water each, 1 peach and 2 very small sandwiches each, and my children eat already little of them, at the playground they asked for another sandwich and when I returned to the hotel, the lady who served us at meals kindly asked me (only her) how were the sandwiches? Little ones? I replied yes, and if he asked this it's because, others must have complained. The room wasn't bad, but that doesn't count, for showering, changing and sleeping it was fine but, when I arrived, I saw that there was a broken lamp and the piece was under the bed on the floor, and it remained there for the whole week, I deduce that under the bed it wasn't cleaned, the bed was only partially made, pulling up only the sheet and leaving the blanket at the feet, the first time I saw the blanket, I was a bit upset as it was all stained, I also did this job for a while and the first thing I did when I made the bed was to look if they were stained and when I saw them, I changed them and reported it to the hotel owner who would have them removed or changed if they didn't come off. Another thing that I criticize many hotels for is that they cannot call it an "all inclusive" formula if we then have to pay for the coffee at meals, I still don't understand this, maybe I'm one of the bad customers but, this is what I lived. Surely they will tell me that I had to notify for the blanket or to eat but, I was there to go on holiday not for the list of things that are wrong.
